MARQUETTE, Mich. â€Â“ The first half of the football(soccer) doubleheader at the Superior Dome saw the Northern Michigan University womenâ€Â™s soccer team defeat Finlandia University 10-0.  The â€Â˜Cats concludethe 2005 season with a 10-7-0 overall record.  The 10 wins ties a NMU recordfor wins in a season.  Finlandia finished the season at 4-11-1.


NMU struck for seven goals in the first half.  Renee LeBlancscored the first two goals of the game at 4:23 and 9:45.  Samantha Szula addedthe third goal at 16:24.  Karen LeBlanc scored two goals.  She added the fourthgoal at 17:23 and the fifth at 26:18.  Danyelle Blue scored the sixth goal ofthe afternoon for the â€Â˜Cats at 34:46.  Jamie Beebe scored the final goal of thehalf at 42:19.


The second 45 minutes of the game the â€Â˜Cats added three moreto the count.  Amanda Gadomski scored at 83:06 for the â€Â˜Cats eighth goal of theday.  Colleen Klein added the ninth at 86:22.  Sara Allan scored the final goalof the game at 88:13.
