BOYNE MOUNTAIN, Mich. â€Ã‚“ The NMU alpine ski team iscompeting at the Boyne Mountain Mid America Series Race this weekend.  The â€Ã‚˜Cats have completed two of the threedays of competition. 

The first day of competition saw former NMU skier JenniferCrockett win the slalom race with a total time of 1:29.00.  Current NMU skier, Kate Hosking was thirdwith a total time of 1:31.95.  JessieDux placed in the top 10 with a sixth place finish (1:33.62).

Danielle Denbleyker was 13th (1:35.24) followedby teammate Jarah Young in 15th place (1:35.96).  Meri Koski was 16th (1:36.17) asLori Hellowell was 19th (1:37.27). Lindsey Agnew in 44th place (1:42.38), Rebecca Beckett in 49thplace (1:43.47) and Sarah Brown in 56th place (1:47.22) roundout the skiers who placed for the â€Ã‚˜Cats.

The second day of competition was Saturday, Feb. 8, as theskiers would race the slalom course. The first two places in the event went to former NMU skiers as Crockettwas first (1:30.13) and Christy Salonen was second (1:31.44).  Three current NMU skiers placed in the top10, as Hosking was third (1:33.37), Dux was fifth (1:34.13) and Denbleyker was10th 1:36.32.

Young in 12th place (1:36.96), Jazz Centauro in13th place (1:37.08) and Koski in 14th place (1:37.99)were the next group of â€Ã‚˜Cats to place.

Rounding out the finishers for the â€Ã‚˜Cats were ElizabethSomalski in 31st place ( 1:41.19), Hellowell was 35th(1:41.60) and Agnew was 39th (1:42.24).

The third and final day of competition is Sunday, Feb. 9.
