The Volunteer Center is NMU's connection to the Marquette community. Students, student organizations, faculty, and staff can find opportunities to volunteer as well as contact information for non-profit organizations. Volunteer of the Month

Do you have a friend or a classmate who is really involved and volunteers his or her time for the good of the community? Then nominate them or yourself for the Volunteer of the Month! Just fill out this short online nomination form. The winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to Doncker's and a spotlight in our display cases. Contact the Volunteer Center if you have any questions or would like more information.

Make A Difference Day is on Sat., Oct. 26! Want to request some service? Register before Fri., Oct. 4.  Want to volunteer? Register before Wed., Oct. 16. Once you attend a 1-hour orientation <a href="https://www.nmu.edu/superioredge/orientation">Superior Edge</a>, you will be able to start logging your activities.nterest meetings for our International Service Project in Thailand/Cambodia will be held in the Center for Student Enrichment, 1206 Northern Center (formerly the UC) on Thurs., Sept 19 at 4 pm and Fri., Sept. 27 at noon. The tentative dates are Dec. 26-Jan. 11 and the approximate cost is $3,500. For more information, contact Rachel Harris at raharris@nmu.edu.Jessica Podlesak and Maddie Hagg were nominated for their combined efforts with the NMU Food Pantry. Together they helped coordinate food deliveries, manage PR, & facilitate access to the Food Pantry. From Aurora, IL, Jessica is a speech language and hearing sciences major, & Maddie is an athletic training major from Roscoe, IL.
