Current Organizations

Students for Sustainable LivingThe members of NMU student organizations sponsor almost 300 campus-wide programs and events every year in addition to the hundreds of group activities. These same students volunteer thousands of hours of service annually to local communities. In the process, the student organizations that register at Northern Michigan University every year provide thousands of students with fun, friendships, memories, and educational experiences that cannot be found in the classroom.

Efforts put forth by student organizations are recognized annually at the Leadership Recognition Banquet.

Student Organization: Ore Ink Review

Description The Ore Ink Review began as the NMU Lightkeeper in April of 2011 as a small, online literary journal that mostly reached out to undergraduates and others in the Marquette community. Since then, Ore Ink has had the pleasure in publishing stories written by many Northern undergraduates, grad students, alumni and has even accepted an international piece. We seek to publish the fluid and the fierce, the great and the gritty. We would love to work with you and your piece. Submit to us today! For more information, email keklein@nmu.edu.
