An old Homecoming favorite, teams will compete in various outdoor events including the ice cream scoop, relay race, and sand castle competition. Set on the shores of Lake Superior near Presque Isle, it's the perfect kick-off to Homecoming week!

Sidewalk Chalk Competition

Fill your sidewalk square in the Academic Mall with word art and drawings celebrating Homecoming week. Drawings can represent the Homecoming theme, "Bon Voyage," or just your favorite Homecoming event during the week!

Thursday, September 19, 5:00-9:00 p.m.

Superior Dome


All new this year! Student organizations and residence halls who register for the parade will be assigned a golf cart to decorate. Groups will have from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the Pre-Parade Party to create the best golf cart designs and compete for cash prizes. Free pizza, prizes and refreshments will be provided!

Everyone's favorite tradition - the Homecoming Parade! Residence halls and student organizations will decorate their golf carts to the nines in the spirit of their favorite vacation destinations - Bon Voyage! Parade will travel begin on Fair Ave., turn left on Third Street, turn left on Hewitt, and travel back down Front St.
