An old Homecoming favorite, teams will compete in various outdoor events including the ice cream scoop, sand castle competition, and the obstacle course. Set on the shores of Lake Superior near Presque Isle, it's the perfect kick-off to Homecoming week!

NMU Campus Cinema will be showing Jurassic Park as part of Homecoming week - The Decades! Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will follow at 9pm.

Sidewalk Chalk Competition

Fill your sidewalk square in the Academic Mall with word art and drawings celebrating Homecoming week. Drawings can represent a decade, trend, style, or just your favorite Homecoming event during the week!

An ALL NEW Homecoming event that  combines the Stepping and Royal Court competitions into one exciting night at the Forest Roberts Theatre! A combined audience and judges' vote will determine the winners of each event.

The Special Events Committee has partnered with Escape Marquette to design an elaborate scavenger hunt never before seen at NMU. Teams of 4 will race across the city of Marquette to be the first team to complete their map and find the finish line!

Before cheering on the Volleyball team at 7pm, stop by the Food Truck Rally for a bite to eat from Marquette's favorite food trucks. Then, grab some free Wildcat gear before heading to the Vandament Arena to fill the gym! Point Cats!

The Wildcats return to Vandament Arena led by two All-GLIAC honorees following an exciting 2017 campaign capped by a second place finish in the conference. The Wildcats ended their season ranked first nationally with 2.94 blocks per set and saw multiple players earn weekly and postseason recognition while the team posted their best finish in the GLIAC since 2007.

The annual Homecoming parade will take place on Saturday with an all new route (Front, Hewitt, Third, and Superior Dome parking lot) this year. It's a great way to kick off Game Day!

The NMU Football game will be the grand finale of Homecoming week, led by defending GLIAC Offensive Back of the Year, senior Jake Mayon. Featuring the marching band, Homecoming Royal Court winners and the overall Homecoming winner announcements, this is an event you won't want to miss!
