||The Northern Michigan University Women's Rugby Club, aka the Northstars, started in 1994. Since its establishment, the club has won several tournaments around the Midwest and has been runner-ups in National tournaments. We ended the 2018 season ranked 9th in the National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO) standings. The team is a part of the newly established Great Waters Women's Rugby Conference within NSCRO. During the fall season, six regular season matches (three home and three away) are played throughout Wisconsin. During the spring, the team participates in tournaments throughout the states. There are also tryouts and camps that are hosted in WI for the Select Side Women's Team of Wisconsin and NSCRO Select Sides. Selects is a great opportunity to compete at a higher level. Between practices and games, the team strives to hold a strong bond with everyone who plays when off the field. Volunteering, fundraising, and general team bonding activities to help keep a fun yet competitive atmosphere around the club. The Northstars base themselves on hard work, upholding traditions and team unity.
