||Psi Chi is the International Honor Society in Psychology.
Psi Chi was founded in 1929 for the purpose of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship of the individual members in all fields, particularly in psychology, and to advance the science of psychology. Membership is open to graduate and undergraduate men and women who are making the study of psychology one of their major interests, and who meet the minimum qualifications. "Psi" and "chi" express the Greek words "psyche" and "cheires," respectively. "Psyche" symbolizes the mind (scholarship and the enrichment of the mind) and cheires symbolizes hands (fellowship and cooperation in research).
