I am from a small Wisconsin town where I was actively involved in 4-H, FFA, Band/Choir, and the Rock Climbing Team. At home I have a black lab named Junie who loves to go pheasant, duck, and large stick hunting; and barn cat named “Snuggles” who cannot get enough attention. Though I miss them when I am at school the campus dynamic is like no other and I am fortunate to say that I am a Wildcat! I heard of NMU previously through a friend already attending school and I wanted to find out more about the University. I scheduled a tour and as soon as I arrived to campus I knew this is where I was going to school. The overwhelmingly welcome, diverse, and beautiful community; amazing academics; and student involvement opportunities showed me the endless benefits to pursuing my education here. I am currently studying Nursing and I plan to eventually become an international nurse. I spend a lot of my time biking, rock climbing, riding horses, taking pictures, hiking, running, and several other activities. I really enjoy talking to the locals hearing their stories and why they enjoy Marquette. You will see me often in downtown Marquette either at Velodrome, the Co-op, or walking/biking along the lakeshore.
