Beer and Wine Pairing Event at NMU

Simply Superior NMU Catering and Events will partner with Gordon Food Service (GFS) to host a Wine and Beer Pairing Event from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, in the University Center Great Lakes Rooms. Attendees will travel through food sampling stations that feature wine or local beer designed to enhance the flavor profile. NMU alumnus and singer/songwriter Michael Waite will provide musical entertainment. 

Simply Superior's Certified Executive Chef Nathan Mileski and his culinary team have selected a Spanish Tapas-themed menu. It will feature smoke fingerling potato bravas with pecorino cheese amd squash empanadas with green romesco. Other featured food items include brisket sliders, grilled chicken and waffles, beer cheese gumbo, salted caramel bars and more.

The cost is $35, which includes an etched Simply Superior souvenir beer or wine glass. Registration must be completed in advance at regonline.com/winepair17.This event is open to individuals 21 and older. IDs will be checked at the door.
