NMU Percussion Ensemble Performs April 16

The Northern Michigan University Percussion Ensemble, under the direction of James Strain, will present its annual spring concert at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 16, in Reynolds Recital Hall. Admission is free.

The ensemble is composed of NMU students who perform on various drums, vibes, xylophones, marimbas and timpani. The concert will feature music composed by Steve Reich, Keiko Abe, Al Lepak, David MacBride, Bela Fleck and George Hamilton Green, Jr. Several students will perform solos while accompanied by the ensemble.
