Northern Michigan University’s Jacobetti Complex will host an open house to showcase academic programs offered through the Center for Innovation and Industrial Technologies. The event is scheduled from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11. Prospective students and their families can tour the learning labs, sample food prepared by culinary students, register to win a $500 NMU scholarship and discuss career options with faculty members.
The center’s two departments offer programs ranging from the diploma and certificate level through a baccalaureate degree. Program areas include automotive service, aviation maintenance, climate control technology, CNC technology, construction management, cosmetology, electrical line technician, electrical power technician, electronics engineering technology, engineering design, food service management, general electronics, general university studies, industrial electrical, industrial maintenance, industrial technologies, industrial technology education, hospitality management, HVACR, mechanical engineering technology and welding.
