EQUAL RIGHTS ACTIVIST SPEAKS AT NMU

            MARQUETTE, Mich.—Equal rights activist Robyn Ochs will give a series of free presentations and workshops on Monday, Oct. 17, at Northern Michigan University. All are open to the public and will be held in the Charcoal Room of the University Center.

            Ochs will present four workshops: “Changing Landscape of Identity: Understanding and Supporting Students of All Sexual Orientations” at 9 a.m.; “Loosening the Gender Girdle: How Gender Affects You” at 1 p.m.; “Bisexuality, Feminism, Men and Me” at 3 p.m.; and “Beyond Binaries: Identity and Sexual Spectrum” at 7 p.m.

            Ochs is a professional speaker and workshop leader, award-winning activist and editor of the 42-country anthology, Getting Bi: Voices of Bisexuals Around the World and the Bi Women newsletter. Her writings have been published in numerous bisexual, women's studies, multicultural and GLBT anthologies.
