The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will present a program on Biolife Plasma Services and its parent company from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13. The event will be held at the Biolife facility at 175 Hawley St. in Marquette.

Biolife is part of Baxter International Inc., which develops, manufactures and markets products that save and sustain the lives of people with chronic and acute medical conditions. Examples include hemophilia, immune disorders, infectious diseases, trauma and kidney disease.

Staff members Marcia Hodges and Trudy Vlahos will discuss the role Biolife plays in this global picture—from donor through testing, storing and shipping products. They will also show two videos that give a broad picture of the products made and how they are used to treat disease and save lives. The session will end with an opportunity for questions.

To register, contact Carole Bard at 228-9367 by Friday, Jan. 9. Cost is $4 for NCLL members and $7 for non-members.
