The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will offer a woodworkers’ rally from 8 a.m. to noon on Mondays, Oct. 20 through Dec. 1, in room 137 of the Northern Michigan University Jacobetti Center.

Participants are encouraged to bring an idea to class of something they would like to build, along with the plans and materials. Instructor Cairl Moore will suggest appropriate tools and demonstrate tool uses, skills, safety and finishing techniques and “tricks of the trade.” Beginning and advanced woodworkers are welcome.

The cost is $30 for NCLL members and $65 for nonmembers. The class will not meet on Monday, Nov. 24. To register by the Oct. 17 deadline, contact class liaison Paula McCormick at 228-5489.
