MARQUETTE – In conjunction with the Performing Arts Series at Northern Michigan University, singer and songwriter David Wilcox will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19 at Kaufman Auditorium. There will be an opening act by singer and songwriter Peter Mayer.

Wilcox has been touring and making music for 15 years. He has a style that combines pop music and modern folk aesthetics. He describes his work as something positive in a tense world.

“These days, there’s so much adversity and loss of hope that anything you can offer that’s on the positive side is a welcome relief,” he said.

He has released 11 albums, and is currently traveling around the nation via an Airstream trailer with his wife and 12-year-old son.

Tickets are $3 for NMU students with ID, $14 for NMU faculty and staff, and $15 for the general public. All tickets purchased at the door will cost an additional $2.
