Innovative New Tool for HVAC Workers!

Local entrepreneur and sheet metal worker, Ron Aho, first came to Invent@NMU at the end of January, 2016 with a crude prototype of a tool for HVAC workers (aka Tinknockers) to increase efficiency and reduce strain on the body. Invent@NMU students worked closely with Ron to refine his prototype design, create CAD models for manufacturing, and design the packaging and website. NMU's College of Technology and Occupational Sciences Advanced CNC Operations class, under the guidance of associate professor for Engineering and Technology Cale Polkinghorne, manufactured the first beta run of the Tinknocker Tool.

You can check out the Tinknocker Tool here.
