U. P. Environmental Conservation Scholarship

Established in 2001 by a gift from Chris Fries, an NMU employee and a Board Member of the Upper Peninsula Environmental Coalition (UPEC).

Additional Requirements
Award will be given to students who have demonstrated their devotion to awareness of and appreciation for our natural resources. Please provide an attached statement that can list your demonstrated work, activities or awareness (word document uploaded to electronic application or submit hard copy to the Earth, Environmental and Geographical Sciences Department located at 3001 New Science Building). Students who have participated in activities, including volunteering time for local, habitat-enhancing projects will be strongly considered for the scholarship.
Additional Preferences:
Priority will be given to students who are working to protect and maintain the unique environmental qualities of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
