Paul Suomi Scholarship

Established in 1998 with gifts by friends of Paul N. Suomi '62 who served the University for 37 years and personally witnessed the extraordinary professional successes of many fellow alumni who were admitted under "Right to Try."

First preference to Upper Peninsula high school graduates, followed by Lower Michigan, Wisconsin and Illinois high school graduates.

Any major in the College of Arts & Sciences
Additional Preferences:
First preference to Upper Peninsula high school graduates followed by Lower Michigan, Wisconsin, and Illinois high school graduates. Preference to a student who is first in his/her family to attend college or university. Next preference to any student who meets all other criteria, following hometown preferences. Final preference to any student who meets all criteria but has a GPA of at least 3.0, following hometown prefernces. GPA: Admitted with less than 3.0 GPA.
