Engineering Technology Department
The variety of programs offered by the Engineering Technology department are designed to provide students with the knowledge and experience needed to hold either supervisory and technical positions or to gain employment in engineering or other technical and related positions in industry. You’ll not only take courses specific to your major, but also shared foundational classes and an array of liberal arts course choices, for a well-rounded education.
Many classes in your major will be held in Jacobetti Complex, which could be the definition of “hands-on” learning, with more than 40 specialized laboratories and classrooms, many of which are authentic recreations of real-world businesses and shops. This state-of-the-art facility includes labs CAD, CNC programming and production, data acquisition, electronics, hydraulics, machine tooling, materials testing, process control and PLCs. When you graduate, you’ll be well acquainted with the machinery, tools and skills you’ll need to succeed.
Students have an advantage in Engineering Technology, being able to immediately enter the job field with a one- or two-year degree, or continue on to earn a bachelor’s and increase your earning power. Jobs in the field are expected to grow at an average rate, with good salaries.
Bachelor's Programs (4-year degrees)
