Michael D. Rudisill

Department Head and Professor

Biographical Profile:

Michael Rudisill has been with Northern Michigan University since 1995.  He is currently the department head and teaches in Engineering Technology Department.

He has a long history of working with the Air Force in several capacities prior to coming to NMU, most recently as an instructor aircraft commander for K.I. Air Force Base. 

Professor Rudisill believes that what makes Northern Michigan University’s program in engineering competitive and attractive is the hands-on curriculum.  Students will appreciate the small class sizes, most of which have a lab focus.  In addition, there is excellent (virtually 100 percent) placement in good-paying jobs with advancement potential for graduates of this program.
