Academics

General Information

All face-to-face classes are being offered only in an online/distance delivery format March 16 and through April 3.

Due to the dedication of the Northern faculty, the vast majority of our lab classes have now been converted to a distance learning format. There are still a few specialty areas that need to be taught face-to-face, but they are very few. Faculty members have been asked to email their students in the next day or two with the following information:

  • Lab classes: What format will the lab class will be starting Monday – distance/online or in person
  • Lecture and lab classes:  Will the class be synchronous (at the same time as) the on-campus version or asynchronous (available anytime)

Faculty will provide information before the first class meeting the week of March 9 to let students know how course delivery will be handled.

A decision concerning the rest of the semester and final exams will be made by March 30.

Drop and withdrawal date has been moved back to April 3, 2020, a week later than originally scheduled.

Global Campus courses continue as usual.
