Dr. Gary Brunswick, Professor of Marketing within the College of Business, has been a full-time faculty member at NMU since the Fall of 1991, and served as Director of Business Affairs for the College of Business from 1997 – 2005. During his time at NMU he received the NMU Distinguished Faculty Award (2005), the NMU Excellence in Teaching Award (2018), the NMU College of Business MBA Program Professor of the Year Award (2013), the NMU College of Business Graduate Faculty Award (2016) and a number of other teaching awards, research awards and grants from the College of Business. He has also taught university-level marketing courses in Finland (summers of 1995, 1997, 2001, 2015, 2016, and will again in 2019) and in Germany (1998, 2018) and has guest lectured in the U.K. Dr. Brunswick has published over 100 refereed journal articles, conference papers, book chapters, book reviews, consulting reports, and other publications in over 15 different business and marketing journals, including two of the top journals in marketing. His consulting clients include the U.S. Army Recruiting Command, Bell Memorial Hospital, Marquette General Hospital, Upper Peninsula Credit Unions, and many others. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration (specialization in Marketing) from Arizona State University, a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Marquette University, a B.S. in Business Administration / Marketing (Summa Cum Laude) from Northern Michigan University, and an Associate's Degree (Retailing and Sales) from Northern Michigan University.
