Neil Cumberlidge (Biology) presented a keynote titled “Developing Conservation Strategies for Threatened Freshwater Decapods Worldwide” at the 8th International Crustacean Congress in Frankfurt, Germany. He also co-authored two other presentations at the conference: “Paleodrainage evolution as a template to explore cladogenesis and biogeographic patterning of freshwater decapods in the Afrotropical region” with S. R. Daniels of the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa; and “Conservation first: strategic planning to save the critically endangered Singapore freshwater crab, Johora singaporensis” with D.C.J. Yeo and D.J.J. Ng, both of the National University of Singapore.
