The ad hoc Strategic Planning Committee meeting was called to order at 10:30 a.m.

The Committee reviewed additional information and reference check feedback for the two vendors.  Ms. Anthos will work with Mr. Leach and Prof. Graves to construct further questions for the vendors.  The Committee will reconvene in early January to further vet the two vendor proposals.

The Committee discussed the strategy issues and value related to NMU and branding.  The results of this study will provide:

• How is NMU perceived among key constituents?
• What are the perceived competitive strengths and weaknesses of the University?
• What is the perceived value of a NMU education?
• What misconception, if any, exists about the University?
• What is NMU’s most powerful and compelling differential advantage when comparing it to competitors?

Communication regarding this project will be sent to the University community in the near future.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:48 a.m.
