Traveling Exhibitions

Since the Beaumier Center opened for business on the campus of Northern Michigan University in November 2006, it has created over a 15 in-house exhibitions on topics as diverse as the storytelling traditions of the U.P. to the photography of George Shiras III.  These exhibitions are part of the Center’s mission to “celebrate the history and culture of the Upper Peninsula and its people.”

Over the years, there have been requests from several institutions that we loan specific exhibitions.  Unfortunately, many were not really in a format that was conducive to touring and reinstallation.  Now the Beaumier Center has launched into a new initiative to tour a handful of its best exhibitions to libraries, schools and community centers around the Upper Peninsula.

The Beaumier Touring Exhibition Program features five easy to install exhibitions that can be used in just about any public space. Below, you will find brochures for each of these exhibitions, which include information about the cost and requirements for display.  The cost to rent each display is a mere $50 a week with an additional cost for shipping (if necessary).
