Gries Hall, a former NMU residence hall, now houses the Military Science, Political Science, and History Department. It has a small lecture hall and a few classrooms.
The hall is connected to the Northern Center with a skywalk.
The Ada Vielmetti Health Center and NMU Alumni Association are located on the ground floor of the building. The Upper Peninsula World War I Military Hall of Fame is located in the Military Science Department. Gries Hall also houses the ROTC Program, known as the Wildcat Batallion.
The facility is named for Walter Gries, who served as acting president of NMU in 1954 and was active in state education boards.Find this building on the campus map.
