Northland Historical Consortium Meeting this Spring

Digital preservation is challenging for heritage institutions, especially those in the Upper Peninsula. The Symposium will explore the creation of an Upper Peninsula Digital Access Preservation network to leverage resources through collaboration and cooperation. Specific topics covered will include digital curations tools Preservica and ArchiveSpace as well as the statewide Stepping Stones project administered by the Grand Valley State University. The Northland Historical Consortium will have a meeting on May 18 at the Cliffs Shaft Mining Museum and Heritage Theme Park in Ishpeming. For more information and updates, please see the Northland Historical Consortium Facebook page, email the NMU Archives at archives@nmu.edu, or call the NMU Archives at 906-227-1225.
