Census records are some of the most well-known genealogical resources. They can provide the names and ages of a family, occupations, level of education, location, income level, birthplace, and more.
The Archives does not have copies of the actual census. However, we do have general statistics about the 1910 Census in the UP if you want to know about the types of occupations and the general demographics of the area in which your ancestor lived.
However, census records are readily available online for free. Heritage Quest (accessible through most libraries, including NMU’s Olson Library) and Family Search are two sites with free census access.
