Stacy graduated from North Central Area Schools in Powers and has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Public Relations, as well as a Master’s in Public Administration. She previously served as the Northern Michigan Representative for Governor Jennifer Granholm and Deputy Chief of Staff for Congressman Bart Stupak in Washington D.C. She is currently the Upper Peninsula Regional Director for the Michigan Department of National Resources.  

While attending NMU she spent three years as a cheerleader and continued as a cheering coach as a graduate assistant. She also participated was a TV-13 volunteer anchor and since graduation volunteered with the in the SLFP mentorship program. Stacy lives in Gwinn with her LSSU Alumni husband Jared and daughters Maddilyn and Vivian.

"It was an easy decision to accept a position on the NMU Board of Directors. I will always be grateful for the guidance and support I received from the very first day I stepped foot on campus as a freshman. I want to do what I can to give back to the campus community that helped me."
