Hometown:

I grew up in Wheaton, Ill. I now reside with my husband, kids, and our Labrador.

Professional/Personal Biography:

I studied at Baylor University in Texas before receiving a bachelor of arts degree in modern family studies from Wheaton College in Illinois in 1995. I also earned a master of arts degree in human services from Concordia University-River Forest in Illinois in 1998.

Most Memorable College Experience:

Some of my favorite memories include intramural ultimate frisbee; movie nights at the house with my six roommates; spring break road trips; clowning at the local children's hospitals; and making smores in the cafeteria microwave.

Favorite Marquette Activity:

Watching the sunset from Presque Isle Park. You won’t see a sunset like that in Illinois! Don’t forget to bring the Border Grill food for munchies as you watch the sunset.

Best advice you received regarding college or would give someone entering college:

Discover your passion for life and follow it. So many opportunities await you in college; don't be afraid to try something new.
