USE OF UNIVERSITY BUS

PURPOSE

To establish guidelines for use of the University bus.

APPLICABILITY

All faculty and staff.

POLICY

It is the policy of Northern Michigan University that the University owned bus be used only for University sponsored activities or events.  The Transportation Office operates one or more buses for use by various university departments for official university functions.  buses shall be operated exclusively by either regular qualified bus drivers from the Buildings and Grounds Department or by qualified temporary bus drivers.  Determination as to all factors relating to the assignment of the university bus shall be made by the Purchasing Department.
