ENERGY CONSERVATION POLICY

PURPOSE
To provide information and guidance to faculty, staff, students and visitors, concerning environmentally sensitive energy and utility cost containment consistent with the University's Educational Mission. The policy is intended to enlist cooperation and suggestions from students, faculty and staff in the conservation of energy resources, the environment and utility costs.
APPLICABILITY
All faculty, staff and students.
POLICY
It is the policy of Northern Michigan University to provide thermal, electrical, and water utilities in an efficient manner as possible, with emphasis on conservation. It is the responsibility of the Facilities Department to manage these based on established and approved guidelines.
