Writing Center Orientations

Staff members are available to give brief presentations to any classes to orient them to the Writing Center.  The orientation takes about ten minutes and can be conducted in the Writing Center itself or your classroom.  Though most orientations are requested at the beginning of semesters, we’re happy to do them any time.Krysthol Kauffman, Claire Abent, and Marcus Houston and writing papers for class.

To schedule a Writing Center Orientation, e-mail Graduate Assistant Joy Weitzel at joduckwo@nmu.edu.

Reports to Instructors and Students’ Files

When students visit the Writing Center, they sign in on our daily log with their name and their instructors’ names.  Once per week, those logs are collected and a report is sent to the instructors to inform them that their students have visited the Writing Center and are actively involved in improving their writing.  If you have any questions about these sessions or the reports, feel free to contact Graduate Assistant Joy Weitzel at joduckwo@nmu.edu or Writing Center Director Z.Z. Lehmberg at zlehmber@nmu.edu
