What is Upward Bound Math and Science?

Upward Bound Math-Science (UBMS) is a year round academic program that includes an intensive, six-week summer experience for those students who have completed the academic year requirements. The UBMS program will expose students to a variety of career fields, improve problem-solving skills and enrich their appreciation for science and mathematics. Students will experience adventure and develop lasting new friendships.


What is UBMS educational philosophy?

The educational philosophy of the UBMS program is to facilitate discovery, learning and exploration in an active-learning environment. The program strives to empower students to develop skills that will enable them to pursue post-secondary education in preparation for careers in fields relating to science and mathematics.


What do participants learn in classes?
