Steven Lockwood has been a professor in NMU’s automotive services programs since 1976. He worked as an auto mechanic for various service companies for eights years before that and has been a self-employed auto mechanic since.
Professor Lockwood has received the National Institute for Auto-Service Excellence Award, Master Auto-Service Technician Recognition Award and the 2006 NMU Award for Recognition of 30 Years of Service. He has been recognized by the CARQUEST Regional Service Dealer Council, and currently serves as adviser to NMU TrailCats 4x4.
