Spotlight on....Josh Swedlund

Josh Swedlund is a sophomore from Beloit, Wisconsin, majoring in illustration. He is very involved in his house and enjoys sports, fishing, and hanging out with friends.

Josh has completed over 250 hours in Superior Edge and stated, “My favorite activity in Superior Edge so far would be my 13 hours from last year’s Relay for Life. Together my team raised $1,000, and I drew and sold caricatures all night and into the morning. The success I had with selling my caricatures inspired me to continue drawing them in my summer’s farmer's market. If it had not been for the positive, caring atmosphere and raising money for a good cause, I don’t think I would have discovered my hidden talent.”

When asked what his favorite thing about Superior Edge was, Josh replied, “I love how Superior Edge not only encourages volunteer and community involvement, but it also provides a place to help organize my volunteer hours for a resume. If I didn’t have my goals of attaining 100 hours in each edge, I would have missed out on so many opportunities to learn and grow as an individual.”

Keep up the great work, Josh!
