Academic and Personal Advisement

Student Support Services' advisers provide guidance to participants in the areas of academic major selection, course selection and career guidance. Advisers also assist advisees with personal concerns they may encounter during their NMU experience. Additionally, advisers provide referrals for on-campus and community resources and serve as advocates for advisees. An individual support plan is developed for all participants that identifies necessary services to assist advisees in meeting their academic and personal goals.
