John L. Lehtinen, MD, a board-certified sports medicine physician, is nationally known as one of the most knowledgeable physicians in treating athletic injuries.
In the past, Dr. Lehtinen has served on the medical staff for the Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, China in 2008, the Summer Olympic Games in Barcelona, Spain in 1992, and was Head Physician for the Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia in 1996. Dr. Lehtinen serves as a team physician for Northern Michigan University, the United State Olympic Education Center, the Marquette Rangers Junior A Hockey league, the Marquette Electricians Hockey team, Marquette Junior Hockey and Marquette Area Public Schools. He is also a volunteer assistant coach with NMU hockey, and has worked extensively with USA Hockey and has coached hockey at many levels during the past 30 years. |
