Aghasi Manukyan of Stevens Point, Wis., is the third assistant coach since the Greco-Roman program was established in 1999. Manukyan began his wrestling career with the Soviet Union and Armenia, earning his way onto their national teams, including competing for Armenia at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. Manukyan attended Nalbandy State Teachers College in Gyumri, Armenia, and earned a teacher of physical training degree in 1993.
Coaching wise, Manukyan served as head coach for the Armenia National Junior Greco-Roman Team, assistant coach for the World Gold Wrestling Club in Stevens Point, Wis., and has held numerous volunteer and assistant coaching positions.
