  United States Olympic Education Center weightlifters earned two gold medals and a bronze on Friday, May 18, at the Wisconsin State Championships/Open in Denmark, Wis. Members of the NMU Club weightlifting team added three gold.

  United States Olympic Education Center athletes finished the 2013 winter semester by naming 25 student athletes to its All-Academic Team.

  Sall Hired to Lead NMU Men’s Basketball Program
  Bill Sall has been named the 14th head coach of the NMU men's basketball program. He spent 11 seasons as the head coach of Ferris State from 2002-13 and was also an assistant coach at Hillsdale College, FSU and Calvin College.

  United States Olympic Education Center weightlifting athletes will receive their diplomas this Saturday, May 4, during NMU’s commencement ceremony.

  Wrestlers Earn Silver at US Open
  Greco-Roman wrestlers traveled to Las Vegas this week (March 18-20) to compete at the U.S. Open,coming away with three silver medals and five others finishing in the top seven to advance to the U.S. World Team Trials in Stillwater,Okla.,June 20-23.

  Wrestlers Crowned National Champions
  Greco-Roman wrestlers won two national champion titles at the ASICS Junior Nationals in Las Vegas Friday (March 19). Three other wrestlers took silver and four earned bronze.

  Former NMU Athletic Director Ken Godfrey Passes Away
  Ken Godfrey, NMU’s Athletic Director from 2003 to 2011, passed away Wednesday night following a long battle with cancer and suffering from a graft-versus-hosts disease from his bone marrow transplant. He was 64.

  United States Olympic Education Center weightlifters earned six medals last weekend (April 5 -7) at the National University Championships in Johnson City, Tenn.
