Spenser competes at 55 kg (121 pounds).  The competition in his weight class begins at 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 11 and concludes at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 12 (EST). 

Joe Betterman — Greco Roman Wrestling
The U.S. failed to qualify for an Olympic spot at Joe's weight of 60 kg (132 pounds). USA Wrestling is hoping to receive a "wildcard" spot so Joe can compete, but so far this has not been approved.  If Joe is approved to participate, his competition will begin at 9:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 11.

Adam Wheeler — Greco Roman Wrestling
Adam competes at 96 kg (211.5 pounds).  The competition in his weight class begins at 9:30 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 13 and concludes at 6:15 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 14.

Randi Miller — Freestyle Wrestling
Randi competes at 63 kg or 138.5 pounds.  The competition in her weight class begins at 9:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 16 and concludes at 5 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 17.

Amy Borgnini — Freestyle Wrestling
Amy is in Beijing as a training partner for the U.S. Olympic Wrestling Team. 

Willie Madison and R.C. Johnson — Greco Roman Wrestling
Willie and R.C. are in Beijing as training partners for the U.S. Olympic Wrestling Team.

David Clark and Greg Carter - Boxing
David and Greg are in Beijing as training partners for the U.S. Olympic Boxing Team.

Others With Ties to NMU in Beijing

Ivan Ivanov — USOEC Wrestling Coach
Ivan is serving as an assistant coach with the U.S. Olympic Wrestling Team.

Dr. John Lehtinen — USOEC Team Physician
Dr. Lehtinen is serving as a physician to the U.S. Olympic Team — his third Olympic Games.

Larry Nicholson — Former USOEC Boxing Coach
Larry is serving as an assistant coach with the U.S. Olympic Boxing Team.

Ma Jianping — Former USOEC Weightlifting Coach
Mark is serving as a special assistant to the CEO of the United States Olympic Committee.

Short- term Visiting Athletes
Numerous other Olympic athletes have trained or competed at NMU for short periods of time, including boxers Rau–Shee Warren, Luis Yanez and Javier Molina, and wrestlers Jake Deitchler and Ali Bernard.

Australian Boxers
All eight members of the Australian Olympic Boxing Team trained at NMU for two weeks last October prior to the World Championships.

Visiting Coaches
Numerous Olympic coaches have participated in USOEC programs on NMU�s campus, including Terry Steiner and Vladislav Izbooinikov in women's wrestling; Steve Fraser, Jay Antonelli, Ike Anderson, Momir Petkovic and Anatoly Petrosyan in Greco-roman wrestling; and Dan Campbell, William Price and Basheer Abdullah in boxing.

Previous USOEC Athletic Trainers
Three former USOEC athletic trainers are members of the U.S. Olympic Team�s athletic training staff, including Peter Toohey, Vinny Comiskey and Ed Ryan.

USOC and Sports Staffs
More than a dozen other USOC staff, Sports Governing Body and sports officials currently in Beijing have also been to NMU's campus to visit the USOEC for various programs.
