The NMU Crew Club, also known as the Rowing Club, gives students the opportunity to participate in the sport of rowing and compete across the Midwest. The club was founded in 1999 and has grown to approximately 50 members. The team travels to major regattas, successfully competing against Big Ten and other major schools. Recently, the Rowing Club hosted a home regatta held on Teal Lake in Negaunee. The rowing club practices on Lake Superior at Lower Harbor. Each spring the team travels to a different training camp over spring break. This year's camp will be held in Tennessee.
