Forward joins the football staff on the offensive side of the ball after lettering for four years on the NMU football team (2008-11).

As a defensive lineman, Forward was an All-GLIAC Second Team selection as a senior and GLIAC Honorable Mention as a sophomore. He was named NMU’s most outstanding freshman after his freshman year. Forward played in 39 career games and had 120 total tackles (58 unassisted, 62 assisted). He also had 24 tackles-for-loss and 6.5 sacks.
