Visitors' Guide - Athletic Training Information

Dear Visiting Athletic Trainers:

On behalf of Northern Michigan University and the NMU athletic training staff, I would like to welcome you to Marquette.  For those who have not visited us, we utilize the following three athletic training rooms on a daily basis for sport coverage:

  • Superior Dome (football, soccer, track and field)
    906-227-1653
  • Berry Events Center (hockey, golf)
    906-227-2027
  • Physical Education Instruction Facility (basketball, volleyball, swimming and diving, cross country, Nordic skiing)
    906-227-1195

The following is a list of items available to you upon your arrival:

  • Warm and cold whirlpools
  • Hydrocollator
  • Ultrasound and electrical muscle stimulation (ATC use only or through written statement including injury, settings and parameters, and treatment time)
  • Water, cups, and ice bags (please provide your own water bottles and bench towels if possible)
  • Splints, biohazard supplies, and other emergency supplies
  • A certified athletic trainer will be present for all home competitions.

Our staff will handle your team’s athletic training needs if it travels without an athletic trainer.  However, please make the necessary arrangements with us prior to travel, and please supply your own tape and materials.

Sincerely,
Julie Rochester, NMU Director of Athletic Training
