Brian Mitz enters his second year as a full-time coach at NMU after volunteering in 2010. Mitz will concentrate on the running backs and half backs.

Mitz played two years at NMU after two years at Harper Junior College and a year at Northern Illinois University. He was a first team all-region selection at Harper after 62 receptions for 856 yards and eight touchdowns.

Mitz is from Fox River Grove, Ill. and graduated from NMU in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in education and a minor in health and nutrition. He is the son of William and Donna Mitz and has three sisters.
