The NMU swimming and diving team finished third at the 2013 GLIAC Championship in Canton, Ohio over the weekend. Head coach Heidi Voigt was named the “Dewey Newsome” Coach of the Year. The Wildcats totaled 512 points and trailed only Wayne State (861.5) and Indianapolis (554.5) after the 42 events. Swimming & Diving Home |

Hockey Begins Week at MTUThe NMU hockey team begins a five-game road trip on Tuesday with a meeting against U.P-rival Michigan Tech. The Wildcats defeated the Huskies 2-1 on Dec. 4 and look for the sweep in the final non-conference game. Northern is 12-13-4 overall. |

Men's Basketball Drops Two on WeekendThe NMU men's basketball team was defeated 64-56 to Grand Valley on Thursday and 69-63 to Ferris State on Saturday. With the losses NMU is 5-16 overall and 4-13 in the GLIAC. |

Women's Hoops Falls to GVSU and FSUThe NMU women's basketball team fell 67-56 to Grand Valley on Thursday and 73-70 in overtime to Ferris State on Saturday. NMU is 11-10 overall and 8-9 in the GLIAC. Northern will travel to Saginaw Valley and Wayne State next weekend. |

Skiers Lead CCSA ChampionshipThe NMU Nordic ski teams hosted the first leg of the CCSA Championship last weekend from the Al Quaal Recreational Center. The Wildcats won the freestyle sprints on Saturday and the classic relays on Sunday. |
