    The senior kicker from Grand Rapids, Mich., made an NMU and Superior Dome record 58-yard field goal late in the second quarter. He was also 5-for-5 on extra points and averaged 32 yards on three punts.

    The Northern Michigan football team remains winless in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference after losing 45-7 to Ohio Dominican University on Saturday (Sept. 15) afternoon from Columbus, Ohio.

    The NMU football defeated UW-La Crosse 24-6 on Thursday (Sept 6) evening from the Superior Dome. The ‘Cats answered the Eagles touchdown on the first possession of the game with 24 unanswered points for the first win of 2012 and the Coach Ostrowsky era.

    Football Defeated in Opener at Findlay
    Findlay defeated Northern Michigan 45-10 in the season-opener for both schools. The Oilers opened the game with a 10-0 lead and scored three straight touchdowns to open the second half.

    Wildcats Host Youth Football Camp July 30-Aug. 1
    The NMU football team will hold its 2012 Youth Football Camp on July 30-Aug. 1 at the NMU practice football fields behind the Superior Dome. The camp is for grades K-8 and is $50 per athlete.
