NMU Runs To Third

KENOSAH, Wis. – The Northern Michigan University cross county team placed third at the 2006 Midwest Collegiate Open on Saturday. The event was hosted by UW-Parkside as they claimed the team title with 45 points. UW-Eau Claire was second at the event with 92 points, four points better than NMU (96).
 
Bibiane Mahy was the first ‘Cats to cross the finish line as she was 10th in the team point standings and 13th overall with a time of 19:30. Right behind Mahy was teammate Brooke Rediger with a time of 19:31. 
 
The next three ‘Cat runners to score team points were Stephanie Mishica in 18th place (19:55), Kyle Richards in 27th (20:10) and Danielle Stein in 30th (20:12).
 
NMU will run next week (Sept. 23) at the Roy Griak Invitational in St. Paul, Minn.
