MARQUETTE, Mich. – Renee LeBlanc scored her team-leading fourth goal of the season at 75:05 of the game against Bemidji State on Sunday to give the Northern Michigan University women’s soccer team its sixth win of the season against one loss. The one goal was all the Wildcats needed in the 1-0 win. Bemidji falls to 3-3-0 on the season.

LeBlanc ended the day with seven shots. As a team NMU had 10 more shots than the Beavers at 16-6. Corner kicks were also in favor of the ‘Cats as NMU had six for the game to two for Bemidji. Kara Music recorded two saves in the win. Music currently has four shutouts on the season with a 0.52 goals-against average and a .870 save percentage.

This coming week the ‘Cats will embark on a three-game five day excursion to Ohio Valley (Sept. 14), Davis and Elkins (Sept. 16) and California University, Pa. (Sept. 17).
