One Goal Was All They Needed

MARQUETTE, Mich. – Amanda Otten scored the lone goal for the game as the Northern Michigan University women’s soccer team defeated The University of Findlay 1-0 on Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats improve to 3-1 overall on the season and 1-1 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). The Oilers fall to 0-3 and 0-1 respectively.
Otten’s goal came in the 83rd minute. Amanda Gadomski assisted on the goal. NMU had 26 shots for the game while UF had seven. Kara Music had three saves for the game. NMU had six corner kicks while the Oilers had two.
NMU will travel to Finlandia on Wednesday afternoon (Sept. 6) for a non-conference game.
